We solidified our commitment to the profession of Audiology and the patients and practice of East End Hearing when we became the owners in 1991. Prior to ownership, we were both employed at East End Hearing as dispensing Audiologists. We began our long-time friendship and professional collaboration as Graduate students in the Audiology program at Adelphi University in the mid 1980s.
While we exercise standardized procedure and protocol for diagnostic hearing testing, hearing aid fitting and post fit follow-up, we also wholeheartedly respect our patients and recognize the importance of the patient/Audiologist relationship. At East End Hearing, this relationship is the cornerstone of successful evaluation, rehabilitation and patient satisfaction. The Practice is based on the philosophy that cultivation of the patient/Audiologist relationship allows for effective patient education and understanding of hearing loss, the structuring of appropriate aided performance expectations, fulfillment of communication goals and, ultimately, realization of a more complete lifestyle for each patient. As no two people are the same, and our goal is to provide patients with the best possible hearing health, provision of Audiologic Care at East End Hearing is specifically focused on the differing needs of each individual.
We thoroughly enjoy the privileges of getting to know our patients and of forming lifetime relationships with each one as we travel together along the path toward improved communication through better hearing and the practice of hearing preservation. It is without hesitation that we ask all current and prospective patients to hear our promise: “For a unique and satisfying journey to better hearing, depend on East End.”
